Karen Thibodeaux of Your Sporting Image will once again be providing our race day photography. Race pictures are typically available a few days after the race, serarchable by your bib number and name.

Where

The 5K will take place at 1 Reliant Park, Houston TX, located adjacent to the Reliant Stadium

Parking

Parking for the Impact a Hero 5K will be available in the “Yellow” lot, also called the “Main Street Lot.” Be sure to arrive via Main street because traffic on Kirby will be highly restricted due to the race route. Parking will be free for all race participants who arrive before 8:30AM. This means, if you arrive before 8:30am, parking will be free and you may stay as long as you wish without being charged. Please use caution when arriving and follow the parking attendant instructions as we expect a very large turnout this year.

Once you have parked, please find your way to the registration area in the “Teal” lot, also known as the “Murworth” lot (at the intersection of Murworth and Kirby), or to the starting line at Kirby and Murworth for pre-race ceremonies and to greet our Heroes.

Cash and Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded for the Men’s Open, Men’s Master, Women’s Open and Women’s Master categories. Prizes are:

1st – $150.00

2nd – $100.00

3rd – $50.00

Awards will also be given to the top three male and female finishers in 14 separate age brackets, and a 1st Prize wheel award.

There will be NO DUPLICATION OF AWARDS.

Chip Timing

We will be using “B-Tag” technology for the competitive 5K run. Instructions for proper use to ensure appropriate timing can be found here.

Texans Tickets Drawing

We will be giving away 2 tickets and sideline passes to a Houston Texans game during the 2013 season. To be entered into the drawing, participants must raise $1,000; each additional $250 raised will receive another entry into the drawing. Coach Gary Kubiak will help draw the winning entry during the post race celebration.

The first 50 participants to raise $250 in donations will also receive a FREE registration to the 2014 race.
